RealityAired.com has known for some time that ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ would give it another go with a season 2, today however Bravo made it official with a press release.
Bravo announced three cast members from Season 1 would be returning, Marysol Patton, Lea Black, and Audriana de Moura. Season 1 was actually never meant to be the start of a ‘Housewives’ franchise, it was initially shot as a “Miami social” type of show. Plans changed midway through filming and a new ‘Housewives’ was born.
Here is what Bravo has to say on Season 2:
“The Real Housewives of Miami” follows a group of the most beautiful, connected and influential women in town who work hard and play harder. This season will give viewers an inside look at these aspirational women as they juggle family, work and the fabulous social scene in a city where the food is spicy, and the drama is even spicier.
Unlike our previous report back in August, it looks like Season 2 will be without Alexia Echevarria. Her absence from the show could be attributed to the serious accident her son, Frankie, suffered back in August. Frankie was in a hospital recovering for months after the accident and only recently returned home.
The day and hour has finally arrived! The day I go home with my baby#FrankieAfter 4 months and 9days God has blessed us with this joy!— Alexia Echevarria(@AlexiaE_says) December 23, 2011
