Hoboken, New Jersey didn’t pan out for MTV, 495 Productions and ‘Jersey Shore‘ stars Snooki and JWOWW, but their back-up plan came through. The reality stars will be filming in Jersey City this spring after the city’s mayor, Jerramiah Healy, did something Hoboken’s mayor Dawn Zimmer wouldn’t do — sign off on filming permits.
Last week we learned Zimmer denied MTV and the production company from filming in the city, she said the presence of the two girls would cause “unacceptable lessening of the quality of life for the local residents and businesses.”
Healy however sees the spinoff as something positive for the city, stating “the more people see anything about Jersey City and see what we have here in Jersey City the better it is for our city.”
